The National Association for Socially Responsible Organizations (NASRO), founded in 1991, is a non-profit association that is an advocate for social justice, a supporter of progressive politics and a provider of group and individual health care benefits.
NASRO today is continuing to support the same ideals and programs that we have been working for since our beginning including universal health care and a sustainable economy. Over the last 30 years, the country has become more supportive of social responsibility and the programs and legislation which are now supported by the majority of the American people. NASRO for the past 30 years has been working for the continued greening of America. Many of our members have been independently working for green technology, green building design and sustainable development beginning with the first Earth Day in 1970. We are on the edge of a new era of environmentalism. This environmentalism is about our health and safety, as well as the larger issues of climate change, that have been ignored for the past 40 years.
NASRO stands for the development of socially responsible individual and small business involvement in humanitarian efforts for the common good. We are working toward public sector solutions that lead to better job creation programs, health care affordability, housing access, energy saving and environmentally friendly transportation policies and sustainable economic development.
