NASRO is a private broker/consultant for group health, dental and vision plans of Blue Cross of Massachusetts for the small or large business owner. NASRO rates Blue Cross of Massachusetts as the top health plan in Massachusetts and we highly recommend it to Massachusetts businesses and employer groups of two employees or more. Their provider network is vast and their experience as the state’s most experienced PPO continues to make them a top choice among employers seeking to provide employees with the maximum of choices for doctors and hospitals. Their national and international reputation makes them a popular choice among employees who live out-of-state or whose jobs include travel. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts is an independent organization that has avoided the fate of so many community Blue Cross plans which have been swallowed up by the for-profit holding company, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

As a non-profit, NASRO welcomes the opportunity to serve the community. For the past several decades, access to health insurance has been improving. We know this because we have worked in the front lines, helping to inform people of the Children’s Health Plan law, helping to make it illegal for an insurance company to turn down a small group because one family member of an employee has a pre-existing condition, and helping to raise awareness at industry health care conferences of the ongoing underwriting criteria some companies continued to use.
Call to discuss your group’s benefits situation in depth and learn more about what NASRO can do for you. Below are listed providers, plan benefits and enrollment information for the health plans available in 2021. Buying health insurance is complicated, with many operations and hidden complexities. Every situation is unique and no one wants to overlook the key risks and rewards that need to remain the focus of the buyer.
MORE AFFORDABLE SMALL BUSINESS PLANS
Fully Insured – for groups of 10 employees or more
Blue Funding Solution – for employer groups with 51 to 99 employees. Employers can benefit from an arrangement that offers limited risk exposure and potential year-end savings. The program combines the savings potential of a traditional self-insured administrative contract with the predictable monthly payments of fully insured plans.
Self Funding – for employers with over 150 enrolled subscribers
Stop Loss – for employers with over 150 plus employees. Stop loss coverage is an important financial protection against the potential loss that could result from a catastrophic claim. Options include competitive rates for new business “run-in” claims aggregating specific coverage, and coverage for health plans administered by carriers other than Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.
